Working together since 2003, Aaron Dahl and Shawn Willis each have 20 years of industry experience in a variety of project types and development scenarios. Much of Dahl’s early career work included building and accessibility code reviews, detailing of many building envelope construction details, and equipment coordination resulting in a technical savvy unmatched by other young professionals. Willis’ experience with smaller design firms afforded him the opportunity to produce creative designs from inception and observe construction activities for a broad range of projects which is equally as unique to young professionals in the field of architecture. The two professionals recognized the compatible qualities they have to offer and founded Acuform in order to deliver a superior design and build experience to the San Antonio community. Dahl and Willis continue to set the vision for the future of Acuform as well as other business ventures today.

Acuform’s vision is to provide the right form for your function (as in the “Acuform” name). The firm was founded in 2007, by Aaron Dahl and Shawn Willis in San Antonio, Texas, as a full-service architectural firm. Despite the firm launch at the onset of the great recession, Acuform was able to garner the support from several large clients, including Jordan Ford, The Church of Latter-Day Saints, McCoy’s Building Supply, Marathon Oil and The Holt Companies - relationships that continue to this day. While the firm has grown to include many professionals, a broad range of services and much larger projects; our humbled approach to finding “real-world” solutions for our clients remains unchanged. The built environments for which Acuform is responsible have shaped, and continue to shape, the experiences of life, work and recreation for our clients, their employees, their clients and the communities they serve.
