When Dr. Friedman determined what he was paying in rent for his posh office space, he decided to build his own place. He found a prominent property close to a major highway and hospitals. While originally only 4,000 square feet, the area was increased to accommodate two additional tenant office spaces. The design is a contemporary Prairie style building achieved through the use of a low, deep eaves, narrow windows, and Wright style brick retaining walls and even basin shaped planters.
Design, documentation, and construction observation of new medical office building to work with existing concrete foundation. Developed shell structure documents for permitting, subsequently was responsible for designing the interior finish-out spaces. Services were performed while employed with Flanagan Architects, PC.
