THE ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL

While construction on Capitol Hill began in 1793, the buildings are constantly being renovated, added on to, and adapted to meet new uses. Recently, several projects were commissioned to address ADA issues and generally update the appearance of high traffic areas. Our design solutions resolved current code issues and updated several public spaces to meet the evolving needs of the occupants while remaining sensitive to the historic nature of the buildings.
Consulting work including 29 separate contracts for ramps, entries, restrooms, offices, parking, and seating renovations. Worked with Architect of the Capitol staff, in-house contractors, senators, and congressmen to modify existing structures. Services were performed while employed with Mark J. Mazz, AIA, PA.
