SCOPE:
Site analysis, design, documentation, and construction procurement of new 40,000 square foot Acura dealership in San Antonio, Texas. Applied image elements from American Honda Motor Company, and worked with Owner to develop a design to address everyone's needs. Aaron Dahl, AIA performed as Project Architect while employed with Thorn+Graves, PLLC.
DESIGN:
Existing Buick dealership structure was demolished. Sales and service functions were separated into two buildings in order to better accomodate security and different hours for sales and service. Despite taking advantage of several value engineering options, the entry water feature and "floating car" remained in the scope of work.
