SCOPE:
Design, documentation, and construction observation of new single story medical office building to work with existing concrete foundation. Initially, developed shell structure documents for permitting, subsequently was responsible for designing two of the three interior finish-out spaces. Aaron Dahl performed services as project manager while employed with Flanagan Architects, PC.
DESIGN:
Working with an existing concrete foundation posed several challenges including working up an acceptable facade using the existing steps in and out. Owner wanted a clean Prarie style building, which was achieved through the use of a low, deep eave, narrow windows, and Wright style brick retaining walls and planters.
